What does the world look like through the eyes of children and youth?
Between June 2025 and February 2026, nearly 300 young people aged 6–21 across 21 countries shared their visions for the year 2050 in our short survey: What does your world look like in 2050?.
They spoke about:
A peaceful world without war and fear
A healthy planet with clean air, water, and thriving nature
Equality, dignity, and opportunity for all
Technology used wisely - not at the expense of human connection
Leaders who make better choices
When asked whether the world will be a better place in 2050, the most common answer was:
"Only if people start making better choices."
Their optimism is real - but it is conditional.
This report presents a first global snapshot of how the next generation thinks about climate, inequality, leadership, technology, and hope. It highlights both regional and age differences, and introduces a powerful insight: children are not passive observers of the future - they are ready to shape it.
